Basic Synopsis of Marinian lands (for Autumn and anyone interested)
((@Autumn: I’d help you keep from making a Sue <: Don’t worry about it!))
Here’s the basics summed up on the worlds:
MARINIA:
- Aaonea: Asian-themed, contains Kia’liastanon (warriors inspired by samurai) and Y’saria (assassins inspired by ninja), and the Empress, ELUS. Lots of dragon-based lore, people usually either worship elus, her children, or the deity Shauven. There’s a training school beside the palace, and most of Aaonea’s people are loyal to their empress - regardless of religious beliefs.
- Marina Archipelago: Pirates, pirates, and more pirates. Different kinds; marauders, for-hires, selfish greedy ones, you name it! Most pirates serve ocean gods such as the Balance Davvy Jones, some worship his Kraken dragon, and others serve the deity Mirah and his brethren. Gundia is also a popular idol. Most pirates acknowledge that they’re open targets to others of their kind at sea, however an invisible pact is normally accepted by everyone stating you cannot go and kill an innocent person (including any family a pirate may have off-sea) and you cannot harm an innocent being (animal, ect) unless it attacks you first, you need it to survive, or it has provoked you (namely stolen from you). Marinian pirates are much more ‘innocent’ and ‘naive’ than any earth pirate (since Marinian humans are actually rather child-like in their mentality).
- Neris’ Eboda: Sirens, sirens, Cohi’reti, and more sirens. War plagues this land, since sirens absolute hate each other and anyone outside their own specific breed (grassland/volcanic/tundra/plains/mole/air), and especially like picking on Cohi’reti. This is also where Jezebell’s father holds his fucked-up coven, and seeks to take over all outsiders. Other Cohi’reti try desperately to save their brethren from his twisted grasp, but often get sold into slavery to aliens due to his alliance with several merchants.
- Hydrophili: Home of the “beautiful ones;” basically, where any and all unique, oddly colored, and sometimes rather arrogant animal lives. This is where Hydrophilis (meaning ‘one from Hydrophili,’ basically he has no name) and his brother Monstrosity come from; it’s rather peaceful, save for the occasional bickering of who’s prettier.
- Archigantis/Necrogantis: Home of unicorn and skelecorns, also birthplace of the Death Steeds. This land is under war due to the corruption of the skelecorn king’s Vizir, who wants nothing but power and will do anything he can to get it. The king of the unicorns (in Archigantis) ends up being bound to his uncle’s soul, and finds out that skelecorns and unicorns are more related than one would think…
- Dar-Mar: The second largest continent (Aaonea is first), this place was originally populated solely by intelligent animals who sought peace and technological development. It’s been taken over by earth humans, however, and is now run in a demeaning caste system where dogs (“man’s best friend”) are on top and creatures like insects, serpents, and hooved animals are near-bottom of the list. This is where Goha, Brandi, Tamaz, and most other anthropomorphic animals you’ve seen from me live.
- Niamod S’live: Literally borne of the Darkness’ evil, this island is the reason Marinia is fogged up and communication between countries is lost. This is where most of the Elite reside, as well as the Darkness itself.
- The planet itself is ruled by the Balances, who keep it in perfect harmony from being destroyed by itself. They aren’t always “good” either, and can be described more as “true neutral,” due to the fact they all equally play a hand in the bad and the good that happens to the planet. The Tri especially have to keep from turning the world on its head, and even become “evil” or Dark to keep the world from becoming too good. Most deities, gods, and balances are real and help out, while some - such as most of the ones the Cohi’reti serve, are false, or unreal and do nothing.
- The Oracle, The Bear, The Seraph, and The Overseer don’t help directly; they’re mostly background players who push people in the right direction with a simple word or an action that leads them to discovering the solution on their own. A very hands-off approach, to avoid influencing the story too much.
- Marinian people - human or not - are rather innocent compared to earthlings. They’re not perfect, but the Oracle created them to be more of a child-like mentality and completely different from earth humans, and as such some appear naive. The only ones who are really in-touch with and that understand the evils of the world and earth (as well as the good) are the Aaoneans, Jasper Solomon, and the intelligent animals of Dar-Mar. They have “adult-mentalities,” if you will, and as such can never become innocent again. Not necessarily a bad thing, but they seek out to keep the rest of their kind innocent because they cannot stand to see the bliss/joy taken from their counterparts.
MIARAH, REALM OF THE GODS:
- Home to pretty much any god/dess who exists on Marinia. Also includes minor deities, servants, and the Palace - which is where the Bear, the Overseer, and the Seraph collect those who pass away. (The Palace is, in layman’s terms, more comparable to heaven than anything.)
- Also where Kodisku, Gundia, and Nosche of The Tri, as well as the S’latnamele and Elementals (Balances) reside.
- Named in honor of Jasper Solomon’s deceased wife, Niara Solomon.
DREAMLAND/REALM OF NIGHTMARES:
- Literally a realm where imagination, creativity, and dreams live as physical beings/things. on the flip side, also contains the realm of Nightmares, where literal manifestations of fears, bad dreams, night terrors, and other horrible, negative emotions reside.
- Ruled over by a creature named DarMar (the continent Dar-Mar was named after him, since that’s where the realms are believed to connect with reality), soon to be ruled over by Imaginary Dreams. The realm of Nightmares is ruled by Fear, a demoness/anti-goddess who feeds off of negative emotions; namely, fear.
EARTH:
- The Coliseum (aliens): Most aliens are extremely technology savvy, some are what we’d call “prehistoric,” and others are about the same technology/intelligence wise as we are now IRL. There are a few planets who promised to protect earth from being destroyed in return for some resources, and who manipulate the government to get what they want. The coliseum is an intergalactic battlezone where aliens come to be entertained by scientific creations who battle each other to the death. No one leaves the coliseum unless sold, or killed. Where Blackened by the Flame of Love and Natalie Roolslevelt were experimented on and turned into warriors.
- One Nation United (ONU): No longer individual governments, ONU - formerly the United Nations - now rule over the planet as a whole, singlular government body. Individual countries still have their own smaller governments to help keep order, however ONU has the ultimate say in anything, and has fucked over many-a smaller developing country because of it. They also have a tendency to ignore traditionalists (those who prefer the old way of technology before aliens came, such as grounded cars) over virtualists (those adapted and ready for new, better technology).
- Omegas Fighting for Freedom (OFF): Because of unfair representation happening for many of the smaller countries, a group of traditionalists who sought to represent those ignored by ONU and give them a fair, fighting chance. Also opposed to the Intergalactic Coliseum Pact (that allowed the protection from aliens provided resources were given in return), as well as responsible for the group of people who discovered Marinia in the first place. Timothy Scott is one of the major founders of this operation.
- Earth is essentially the same as the one we live on, except that the Coliseum pact was created somewhere around the 1970-80s, the earth is much closer to death, and technology has had a significant boom since then. While life might be more luxurious for most everyone now, it’s more damning, and politicians such as Karuba rule over the commonhead of the people. Eventually news updates are stopped, turning more to propaganda against Marinia and the eventual take over of its land than true news coverage. Eventually, the people are completely brainwashed into genocide, and Marinians (and their supporters/sympathizers) are lined up in the streets, jotted down in a book, and slaughtered - all because the people of earth are told that they will all perish unless they take Marinia by force. This is actually opposite of the case, since Marinians would have been willing to share if Karuba had not pushed earth to be so selfish.
- The Nine are trying to stop the war between the planets and working to help save marinians from slaughter and earth from passing, however the Elite (Karuba’s workers) are determined to make them fail, and in the end it’s anyone’s ball.
- The Oracle refuses to help in any way outside of writing out all that she sees happening, and occasional twists that may or may not be good for anyone’s benefit.
I think that’s all that needs to be said…

Anyone wanna help me develop a character?
I’m surveying a bunch of people (or, need to) and have a few questions for you:
- What do you define as respect/adoration/looking up to someone?
- What status/makes you respect/adore/look up to a person (authority, power, social status, ect)?
- What physical attributes cause you to be more prone to respecting someone (age, race, gender, details, ect)
- What personality attributes?
- Is there anything that would make you respect someone LESS (physically, personality, status, ect)?
- Who are some people you respect in your life (feel free to leave a why or leave this one blank)?
- What would make you respect someone who’s normally stereotypically big-headed/incorrect/bad mannered/incompetent/scary (lawyers, politicians, policemen, your parents, celebrity, ect)?
- What would help ease you out of fear from that person (such as, if you met a celebrity you really adore, you most likely would probably freak out or worry about impressions. Is there anything that person could do that would help you relax and be yourself instead of making you feel uncomfortable)?
I might eventually answer this on my own, but I don’t want to influence anyone’s answers. Would you guys be a help and answer this yourselves? PLEASE? <:
Reblogging here for notes/to look back on. :)
Thanks so much for the help! :D /hugs/

ELUS Onan/Lanke

Hey everyone: Ask me things, and I’ll draw them!
For any of my accounts! This one, Jezebell, ELUS, Marinia. The only account I’m not going to draw for is Stephen’s, since I can’t fucking draw Stephen. WEH.
I might open his ask box up later… maybe.

I tend to sketch very differently depending on the pose, my mood, and other small things. Sometimes I do skeletons, other times… silhouettes are the best thing to go by. Especially since they get teh point across of what I want without having to focus too much on the details.
Goha sketch, 5-10 minutes.

Heh, Karuba blackmails and shits on Goha and James
Heh. Heh. Heh.
The funny thing is he tries to do it with Jezebell
But James
still has connections to and with her
so it backfires
at least to a point where Jezebell turns on him and helps James get into his cribs and shit. Ehehehe too bad she’s a part of the Elite now… aaaaand is reminded of this shortly when he smashes James’ men down and personally deals out threats to the gang leader, taking something important to him and destroying him.
Meanwhile the government had set up a little “factory accident” for Goha to slip into which cuts him in half and shaves off one of his arms completely, only for them to miraculously save him and put him back together again (since they do have the technology to do so as long as you keep the brain undamaged and halves alive)
only instead of him just being together normal and set free, they put a monitoring device on him that both limits his movement and makes his life a living hell, but also gives them enough room to control him. Control him in that they threaten to take all his reputation (and life) away if they do not get half of his profit and he does not renounce his name as the gang leader of Dar-Mar.
So he does, but you know what happens?
He sneaks shit underneath the government’s noses. While he can no longer be on-sight with his members, he still has them doing things to help the underground and steals money and shit while being “in retirement” and the government never finding out. But, what’s this? This big bastard named Karuba wants to ruin his life with the government killing Marinians and using them for experiments and causing a mass genocide? Fuck no.
Both fucked over and angry with what happened to them, Goha meets James once more, a common goal in mind. Stop Karuba, and get the government out of Dar-Mar, and Marinia, for good.

Cohi'reti: Concept of Mates
December 10th, 2011
Hah speaking of Marinian fruit:
One of the more prevalent fruits in the Archipelago is this fruit called “Dragonlover” or “the Dragonlover fruit.” All that’s known about it are rumors. It’s said to- hah, so you know that spider in brazil who’s venom causes a 4 hour erection? Well, this fruit is rumored to cause prolonged erections as well. Eating the whole fruit will kill you and any animal who eats it - even the ones who use it during mating season - because it’s so strong.
However, the fruit is said to primarily be used by some dragon species who can’t “get it up” during mating season, and thus use that to mate.
A “Dragonlover marriage” is a term used for people who are married to each other and bicker a lot and just don’t get along well together. It’s called that because there’s a rumored game that poor people used to play to marry off their daughters who either no one would take or multiple people fought over. Men would gather around, and the potential suitors would have to take a bite of the fruit and keep from relieving their erection. whoever succeeded would win the wife, and the loser would have a serious case of blue balls until it wore off. This never really happened (since Marinian humans are actually very different than earth humans in that regard), although it’s a tribal favorite to give tourists a heavy dose of the fruit and the drink to see how they react to it. A lot of earthling couples are referred to as “dragonlover marriages” as well.
However, the actual reality of the fruit is that the rind/meat/seeds only give a temporary boost, like a serious aphrodisiac, not an actual erection or whatever. The animals eat the fruit in hole during mating season to boost their “egos” and desire (both male and female, as the species itself is rather asexual I think), and the juices are filled with caffeine to offer a good amount of wake-up energy to any who drink it.
It’s a common drink amongst pirates, and the fruits are usually preserved or saved for the Fertility Festival, when people would consume it and enjoy being close to their lovers or perhaps even finding one for themselves.
